Who we are

This website, www.shivnerischool.com, belongs to Shivneri School & Junior College, Khanapur, Narayangaon-Junnar Road, Taluka Junnar, Dist. Pune, Maharashtra 410502, which is run by Shivneri Foundation, a public trust ("the school", "we"). For any privacy question, write to info@shivnerischool.com.

This policy covers this website and its forms, and the advertising lead forms (for example on Facebook, Instagram or Google) that link to this page.

What we collect

When you enquire or book a campus visit

Student name, parent name, mobile number, email address, class applying for, state and city
Whether you want a campus visit or a call back, and your preferred visit date and time
How you reached us: the advertising campaign tags in the link you clicked (source, medium, campaign), the page that referred you, the page you first landed on, and an ad click identifier (Google "gclid" or Meta "fbclid") if you came from an ad

When you use an advertising lead form

If you fill in a lead form inside Facebook, Instagram or Google, the platform passes us the details you entered in that form, usually your name, phone number, email, city and the class you are interested in. We handle those details under this policy. The platform's own privacy policy covers what the platform itself does.

Other forms on the site

The general contact form collects your name, email, phone and message. The careers form collects your name, qualification, the position you are applying for, mobile number, address and the file you upload.

When you browse

Like most websites, ours uses cookies and similar technologies to see which pages are visited, from what kind of device, and whether a visit led to an enquiry or a booked visit. This includes clicks on our call and WhatsApp buttons. See "Advertising and measurement" below.

To reply to your enquiry and to arrange and confirm your campus visit
To follow up about admission by phone call, WhatsApp or email, using the number and email you gave us
To run the admission process if you go ahead
To consider job applications sent through the careers form
To measure which advertising and pages lead to enquiries and visits, and to improve them
To meet legal and CBSE requirements

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for anything unrelated to the school.

Where it goes

Email: form submissions are delivered to the school's inbox, info@shivnerischool.com, through FormSubmit (formsubmit.co), a form-to-email service.
Admissions system: admission enquiries and visit bookings are also recorded in the school's own admissions system (its CRM), which is hosted with a cloud database provider (Supabase), so our team can follow up and keep track of each enquiry.
Our team: only school staff who handle admissions, the office or recruitment see your details.

Advertising and measurement

We use Google Tag Manager to manage the measurement tools on this site. Through it, the site may use:

Google Analytics, to understand how visitors use the site
Google Ads conversion tracking and remarketing, to see which Google and YouTube ads lead to enquiries and booked visits, and to show our ads to people who have visited the site
Meta Pixel (Facebook and Instagram), for the same purposes on Meta's platforms

These tools set cookies or use similar identifiers in your browser, and the providers process that data under their own policies. When a form is submitted we record that an enquiry or visit booking happened, together with the campaign details above, but we do not send your name, phone number or email to these tools through the website.

You can control this: block or delete cookies in your browser settings; manage Google ad personalisation at adssettings.google.com; install the Google Analytics opt-out add-on; and manage Meta ad preferences at facebook.com/adpreferences. Pages that embed YouTube videos, Instagram posts or Google Maps may also let those services set their own cookies.

How long we keep it

Enquiries and visit bookings that do not lead to admission: up to 24 months after our last contact with you, so we can answer follow-up questions in the next admission season, then deleted.
If your child is admitted, the enquiry becomes part of the student's admission record and is kept under the school's student records practice.
Job applications: up to 12 months.
Measurement data held by Google and Meta follows the retention settings of those services.

Sharing

We share personal information only with the service providers that run the website, email and admissions system for us (such as FormSubmit, our website host and Supabase), with the advertising and analytics providers described above, and with authorities when the law requires it. We do not share it with other schools or sell it to anyone.

Children

Our forms are meant to be filled in by a parent or guardian. We ask for a student's name and class only so we can prepare the visit and the admission conversation.

Keeping it safe

The site is served over HTTPS, and access to the inbox and the admissions system is limited to school staff who need it. No system is perfectly secure, so please do not send sensitive documents through the enquiry form.

Your rights

You can ask us to:

show you the personal information we hold about you
correct anything that is wrong or incomplete
delete your information, or stop follow-up calls, WhatsApp messages or emails

Write to info@shivnerischool.com with the phone number or email you used, and we will reply within 30 days. We handle personal data in line with applicable Indian law, including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023. If you are not satisfied with our reply, write to our Grievance Officer, Dnyaneshwar Patade, at info@shivnerischool.com.

Changes to this policy

We review this policy periodically and whenever we change how we collect or use information. The date at the top shows when it was last updated.
