How admission and payment work
The six steps, as the school publishes them. Payment comes at step 5, after you have seen the campus.
Visit the campus
With a prior appointment. Book a date and a time.
Get the form
Brochure and admission form, Rs 2,000, by cash, card or UPI.
Interview and test
A short session with the Principal, plus a written test to gauge the child's level.
Submit the form
Duly filled, with the required documents and photographs.
Confirm admission
Admission is confirmed once the first fee instalment is paid and all documents are in.
Parent access
A School App login and an ID card for campus visits.
Fees are paid by the due dates the school office communicates. Fees once paid are non-refundable in any case. Merit-based and sibling scholarships are considered case by case; ask the admissions counsellor during your campus visit.
Fee questions parents ask
Is there a one-time admission fee?
Yes. An admission fee of Rs 10,000 is charged in the admission year only. It is separate from the yearly package fee, which covers tuition, hostel, mess, laundry and salon. Like all fees at Shivneri, it is non-refundable once paid, so settle your questions at the campus visit first.
What is the imprest account?
The imprest account is Rs 10,000 that covers library, medical, insurance, tuck shop and competition costs during the year. It is listed separately from the yearly boarding package in the school's published fee structure, alongside the admission fee and the uniform and stationery kit.
Is non-vegetarian food extra?
Yes. Meals in the 700-seat dining hall are vegetarian as standard and are included in the package. Non-vegetarian food is optional, costs Rs 15,000 a year and is served four times a week. You can see the dining hall and ask about the menu during your campus visit.
What does the Rs 2,000 admission form cover?
Rs 2,000 buys the brochure and the admission form. It is step 2 of the six-step admission process and comes after the campus visit, which is step 1. It can be paid in cash, by card or by UPI. The completed form is submitted with documents at step 4.
Are fees refundable if we withdraw?
No. Fees once paid are non-refundable in any case, including the admission fee, tuition, boarding and other charges, whatever the reason for withdrawal. Parents who intend to withdraw a student must give the school office written notice, as the admission terms require.
The fee is one number. What it buys is easier to judge on campus.
